Mini Refrigerator
If you want to keep things cool, and preserve food, medication or just about anything else, a
mini refrigerator will do exactly what you want. There are several points to consider when making the
purchase. You certainly want to check the size of the unit, and always make sure you are measuring the
external size as many of these units will list the interior fridge dimensions, and that can really throw you
for a loop. You want to also be sure that the temperatures inside the unit will be maintained rather
than change frequently over time as some units are more likely to adjust their internal cooling up/down based
on the external temperature of the room.
With so many sizes and choices you will really want to compare feature for feature what you
are looking for and make sure that you have enough room in your mini refrigerator to accommodate what you want to
store. The biggest variation is in unit size as they vary from the very tiny 1.7 cubic feet units to the larger
units up to 5 cubic feet (or more). Plan ahead to be certain that you have enough interior space to store all of
the beverages and food, or other items that you want to keep cool. You may want to measure your bottles and cans to
be sure they fit as many of the smaller size miniature refrigerators will not accommodate the larger bottles, or
even standard cans unless they are turned on their side.
Remember also that you will need space in front of the unit kept open so that you have plenty of
room to open/close the refrigerator door, especially if you are trying to fit your unit into a tight space. You also
want to be careful about not keeping the unit's door open for any long period of time as this can really add up in cooling expenses over time.
These little units do fine as long as the door is kept shut, and only opened for a short time while you are
getting what you want. You may want to keep this in mind as well as you consider the functionality of this
unit for your own use. Will it give you easy access to the beverages that you want, and will you be
able to get in, grab what you want and get out fairly quickly. Refrigeration and cooling can really use a lot
of electricity and raise your monthly bills if you are not cautious.
One last thing to keep in mind may be the noise, or sounds that the unit may make. If
you're like me you would prefer to have something that is completely silent, but I can tell you that is
usually not going to happen. All of these units must turn off/on frequently to keep the inside cold
(which is what you want). The bad part of this is, you have a compressor that needs to run so
that the mini refrigerator can keep things cool. So try to pick a unit that reviewers consistently
report as being quiet, or barely audible. That way you will be sure that when the unit arrives it
will stay nice and quite for you, and it will also do a good job of keeping your items at the
right temperature. It's likely that you will find a unit that can work for you, as many do, with few problems
and the great benefit of cooling what you want to the exact right temperature and keeping it cool throughout
the day, or as long as you need to store it. Overall these units are quite good at doing what they say they
will do, as they have been on the market for many years, but be extra careful to choose one that has a good
review and is in the top 10 for the size you are looking for. This will give you the best chances of finding
a really good mini refrigerator.

too hard of a decision to find the perfect mini refrigerator that will do a good job with your beverages,
food, medications and anything else you want to keep cold for a good long time. By picking the best mini
refrigerator model (which may be slightly more costly), you will probably find out that it will work for you
for a long time, quietly, and efficiently keeping your things cool and without any type of service
problems.
